The XT XTRATREAD System offers even greater savings to the end user and provides over 100% of extended life from your tier one tyres and more importantly provides more than 70% extended tyre life to front tyre positions.
The new XT XTRATREAD Extension System is the result of substantial investment in technology, R&D, equipment and training.
The most critical factor governing the success of any retread is the integrity of the tyre casing. Traditionally, casings for retread are generated from tyres that have been in service firstly on front positions (35% wear) and then on rear positions (65% wear). These tyres will have a significant amount of damage to repair, on the sidewalls, shoulders and crown. This has potential to extend the timing of the finished product.

The XT XTRATREAD System eliminates these problems making sure your tier one tyre investment is in prime condition to be retreaded up to 3 times, extending the life of your investment.
A tier one tyres manufacturing cost are 72% casing and 28% tread rubber, demonstrating the importance of protecting your tyres casing.
XT XTRATREAD - Adding life
Casings used in the Tytec XT XTRATREAD System are generated from front positions tyres only, which are removed in accordance with site policy, at 35% - 50% worn. Normally, these tyres would see out the remainder of their lives in rear drive positions.
The XT XTRATREAD System provides 3 options for extending tyre life, adding up to three lives to your tier one tyres:
